The challenge presented in this Use Case was to realise charging infrastructure at the employer car park, with the establishment of 100 or more charging points. Furthermore, these charging points had to be suitable for different user groups, namely employees, company car drivers, suppliers and customers of the company and public users from the hotel close by.
Another important aspect for the business was that the operation of this charging infrastructure could be done with 100% renewable energy, as well as through a billing system which conforms with the respective calibration law.
As early as summer 2021, chargeBIG equipped six parking levels with 108 single-phase AC charging points with up to 7kW. The charging points can be activated by employees using access codes and the chargeBIG app. In addition, the chargeBIG solution offers calibration-compliant billing and ad-hoc charging.
